Kindness is not a word that comes up often when you ask the general public to mention some few words that they could use to describe good leadership. People will mostly portray those people in leadership to be demanding and aggressive. They tend to expect their staff to be at their best at all times. They will need to be willing to bring the hammer down when things are not going right. In this case, kindness will not have a place to fit. The culture that is currently in business is the one that has led to this situation. the leaders now believe that they need to be emotionless and ruthless because of the trends in the modern world. Understanding is a hugely undervalued trait in the leaders, but it is very crucial to good leadership. You should also seek o be generous with your time. There are times when an employee is looking to get some extra clarification or they just want to talk to you. It will be best for you if you could offer them some of your time that they will need so that they become comfortable enough with the role they have to handle.

Feeling that you are speaking your mind at all times is what the individuals who are working for you and those you are working with need to feel. They need to feel like you are telling the truth and that you are not holding back any information from them. This may at times mean that you have to confront some uncomfortable truths but it will be worth it. Being considered secretive will be worse than this, Doing this will lead to you having a fruitful and long working experience.
